For those who grew up in the 80's you might remember a little band called Battered Citizens. OK I lied, maybe they weren't that little. Battered Citizens was a band that was the definition of street level hardcore. The band consisted of Brian Brick as the singer, Oyo Ellis on guitar, Bob Lampenfield on bass, and Greg Maris on the drums. Their lyrics consisted of life on the street, police brutality and just the everyday struggle of city life. If you were lucky enough to catch them 3 years ago at the 31st street pub for a reunion show then brace yourself. This Wednesday September 22 the Battered Citizens are getting together for Pam Slam's 20th Birthday Jam at Belevederes.
